From my Weekly Email...
What a wild week!! My replacement started Tues. So, work at the office has been CRAZY!! and on top of that, we have had all these "fire drill" projects situations!! So, I have been working late quite a bit..and with Eli getting bigger...Working late is getting HARDER!! But I have survived!
I went to the specialist on Tues and we found that my cervix is shortening more. I am around 1.3 cm total...7cm between baby and stitch. His little head was so close to my stitch that when she went in to scan she said "Whoa! There's his head!!" I also saw Dr. Morris on Wed and he says that I am effacing and have been since my last visit 2 weeks ago and I am likely (slowly) losing my mucus plug (hope that doesn't gross anyone out!!). Basically, I could go into labor any day...or I could go 6 more weeks..we just don't know!! We are 2 weeks shy of our goal of 34 weeks!! So, pray pray pray that we can get there...and everything after that is icing! :) But Dr. Morris says everything after now is icing! So, he is very happy that we have made it this far and is so happy that we are still going! I am having some "false labor", but it hasn't been painful...
I guess that about summs it up!
Matt and I are well..We really need to get our nursery together!! Any volunteers??
Hugs to all! ash
How your baby's growing:
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

I'm so glad to hear the news! Keep hanging in there, and we'll keep praying. That little Eli is already doing great! I can hardly wait to "meet" him...but don't take me seriously, little buddy, stay in there a while longer, OK? :)
